The program broadcasts on the Overseas Radio Network, a new venture in internet communication aimed at expatriates and internationally-minded listeners across the globe.

The subject of our exchange can be summed up perfectly by the first guest’s book, Lies, Damned Lies, and College Admissions by education entrepreneur Arvin Vohra.

Instead of actively encouraging wayward youths to throw down thousands of borrowed dollars on an education that provides no guarantee of job security and accomplishment, Vohra explains that exploring skills and testing entrepreneurial passions may be the best alternative.

Author James Altucher

Firstly was renowned author and blogger James Altucher, a vocal proponent of forgoing the four years of upper education.

Alucher makes the case that newly-emancipated youths facing college deadlines should instead invest their time, money, and energy into more individualistic endeavours, such as writing a book or creating a business online.
